Can Play?

Anyone can play Pickleball—it does not matter your gender, size, age, skill-level or athletic ability. You don’t even need a paddle or balls—we provide complimentary paddles to get you started! It is an easy to learn game that gives your knees a bit of a break and provides as little or as much cardio as you would like!

Is It All About?

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America. Invented in 1965 in Bainbridge Washington, it is a paddle ball sport that combines the best of tennis, ping pong, and badminton. The name of the game “Pickleball” purportedly came from the founder’s wife who shared that the newly invented game reminded her of the“Pickle Boat” in crew where oarsmen were chosen from the leftovers of other boats.

Do You Play?

Pickleball can be played indoor or outdoor and is played all over the world. Pickleball courts are 44’ by 20’ feet separated by a net that stands 34”inches high at the center and 36”at the posts.There are LEFT and RIGHT service areas on each side of the court and 7’ “non-volley zone” (affectionately referred to as the Kitchen) on either side of the net.

Do You Play?

A Pickleball paddle is smaller than a tennis racquet but larger than a ping-pong paddle. Paddles are made from wood or lightweight composite materials. A Pickleball is a hard plastic ball with ~40 round holes, like a wiffle-ball.

Body Governs the Sport of Pickleball?

USA Pickleball is the national governing body for the sport of pickleball and provides players with official rules, tournaments, rankings, and promotional materials.
